Description:
Thallus: finly granular, fawn-coloured.
Apothecia: numerous, pale brown, ±immarginate.
Ascus:
Hymenium: composed of simple capitate paraphyses, lax in K; epihymenium dilute brown (K+ dilute purple-brown)
Hypothecium: hyaline
Ascospores: multiseptate (5-7), spirally arranged in ascus; c. 25-30 x 2-2.5 µm.
